Marilu was a fantastic host. She gave us the marvelous restaurant recommendations, the best beaches in Pontevedra and has the loveliest house in the heart of the city.

The remains of this Roman amphitheater in the village of Jublains. It was commissioned by a certain Orgetorix, a rich leader of the Gallic tribe that settled in Jublains, the Diablintes.

Excavations of this site revealed two successive amphitheaters. The oldest dates from the 1st century, consisted of smaller, semi-circular building that staged the performances.
The most recent, from the 2nd century, is smaller than the previous but is surrounded by a space designated for games on the arena such as gladiator fights or animal combats.

Memorial erected in 1921 by the Community of Sainte-Suzanne, in honor of the leaders and followers who lost their lives working Memorial built in honor of the leaders of the Resistance during World War I, including 59 children.
To each side, two Schneider cannons from 1937 modeled on the originals from 1934. The cannons were left behind after the liberation of the city by General Weaver and Colonel Barthe.

The current church dates from the beginning of the 16th century, consecrated un 1553 by Jean VIII, bishop of Tréguier.

The chapel dates from 1780 and was restored in 1826.

The stained glass windows of the chapel date from 1886 and were inaugurate it 1979. They were made by a local artist of the area, Alain de Bourges.

Dated around 1402, it was built at the top of the hill so peregrines could see it from a distance. It continues to hold events on the 29th of September, the day of Saint Michael.

Like the chapel, these ruins date from 1402.

Famous for its textile producer, Toiles de Mayenne, Fontaine Daniel had an abbey from 1209 that was repurposed in 1791 as the company's factory.

Just above the pond of Fontaine Daniel, it was built in 1939 by the builders of Toiles de Mayenne. The project was led by Paul Denis, the spinning director.

There is an old lavoir next to the river, with very low roofs where you can still see remains of two chimneys.

The original building dates from 1100 and it still preserves the central part of the facade and the pillars.

The stained glass was completely destroyed during the bombing of 1944 and the current ones were designed and installed between 1952 and 1962.

Founded by the Gauls in 1st century B.C., this port still has some of the most fascinating remains in history. It was destroyed by bombs dropped by the Allied powers in 1944 and restored between 1948 to 1960.

This fort was built in 1689 to protect the port of Saint-Malo. It is only accessible by boat or by foot during low tide.

This door marks the entrance to Citadel of Saint-Maló. Although the whole of Saint Maló seems very old, the current buildings are the result of a construction project undertaken to restore the city due to the destructions caused during World War II. It was completed in 1971

The construction of this castle lasted for nearly three centuries, between XV and XVIII. It was invaded twice; the first time in 1590 by citizens who wanted the city freed of partisans under the protestant kins, Henry IV. The second time was during the French Revolution, in 1792. Today, it houses the Musée d’Histoire de la Ville et du Pays Malouin.
